A Very Long Day Indeed

Wow, this day was long, but it was not as bad as I thought. I tried pulling an all-nighter to study for the exam today, but I couldn't do it. I passed out around 2 am and woke up at 5:30 am, which made me panic. I can't take short naps in the middle of the night anymore. :( I reviewed all my notes up to 8 a.m., and then took the exam.

Thankfully, the exam was not as bad as I thought. The exam covered asthma, COPD, and theophylline PK, which are very interesting topics but a lot of material to cover. This class block [block = a month focused on a specific disease/condition] does not give quizzes, just exams. So, I have to do well on the exams in order to do well in the class, which has its pros and cons. I liked having quizzes in that it helps me prepare for the exam when I study for the quiz. In addition,I have a higher chance of losing points from taking an exam than from taking a final. Again, thankfully, it was not that bad. However, after the exam, we had our patient counseling examination. What happens is that each group is called up, and two people are picked from each group to do patient counseling [one person is the pharmacist and the other person is the patient]. Again, thank goodness that I did not get picked for either one, but I was worried for my teammate who did get picked and who felt that she was not prepared at all. She did her best, and that's all that matters. :)

Because my team was picked 2nd, I had the rest of the day feeling stressed-free. I was so relieved, and I enjoyed my afternoon doing nothing. I enjoyed it so much that I forgot that I had a Kappa Psi meeting to attend....d'oh! I never missed these meetings, so it made me panic a bit, but the regent was not mad at me. I felt bad though.

Best of all, it rained today...yay! I bought this large-sized umbrella to keep me dry, so I was able to use it today. :)

I'm hoping for another rainy day. :D

First Official Post - BLAM!

Okay! I declared this my first official post, considering how I left this blog unattended for a couple of years. I'll try my best to recap [w/ whatever memory I had left of what has happened, haha].

After a month of planning for my sister's birthday, bickering with my workplace [workplace = Kaiser Fontana Pharmacy] to get me that day off, it finally came; Mary Poppins musical @ LA. Thank goodness that she enjoyed herself, along with her husband. I, of course, did as well. Back in the day, I didn't like musicals as much until my college friend introduced the "Wicked" soundtrack to me. Then, I was able to catch a TV broadcast of "Legally Blonde: The Musical" on MTV, and it all started from there. "Hairspray" was the first musical that I saw. Then, it was "9 to 5: The Musical". My third musical happened to be "Mary Poppins," and that turned out to be my favorite one. The production was great, from the flying to tap-dancing on the ceiling! Of course, the songs were memorable (especially if you've seen the movie).

Other than that, I've been juggling between school, work, and personal life everyday. The difficulty of it varies each day, and I'm facing it either one day at a time or a couple of days in advance. :P Hopefully, I will shell out those details often on this blog as well.

However, I'm thankful for the life that I have now. I rather do this than to sit at home and wait for an opportunity to do what I want to do. I have that now. :)

Now, I need to go back to studying...tootles. :D
